Well I think there are more kinds of "bad" or unused cards. First, there are the command fixing ones, (Liaisons, officers let you change your command before you reveal it, etc) these were added to help new players and big ships I suppose. Just people discovered if you play well you simply don't need them, plus they are not very cost effective. The other type is the ones that see play very seldom, like Wide-Area Barrage or Flechette torps, which have their niche uses but considered sub-optimal because either too situational or requires too much building around them and even if that happens they are still meh. And there are the plain bad cards, like Redundant Shields... But I guess majority of the cards have seen play at a point since the release, and they just come and go as the meta shifts. Or if they haven't, there is still hope for some of them (looking at you Hot Landing).

In my case it really depends on the role I want to assign to a ship or the ship itself.

If I do include a neb, I usually try to fit Salvation in. It is super fun IMO, even if its pricey and not very reliable. Especially under Sato. With Vanguard, I was thinking to play with it, but I'm always unsure about the weapons team. Maybe I should just consider it as a "bonus" and leave it empty if I don't see an immediate fit for it.

@XR8rGREAT "hey have had 1 ship in the last 3 years." Thats true. But they are not a bad spot right now. With 1.5 and SH (i mean here the upgrades that can be used by non-SH ships) and some of the generic upgrades from CW opens up new ways to play. A rebalancing of the old ships would certainly be nice, but I still think one can experiment and play with them for a year or so comfortably. (Ofc we have imba stuff which makes people wanna cry and not really rewarding interesting combos... looking at you Onager TB, MMJ)

Yup. Fingers crossed I can kill the ships fast enough. Nevertheless, this looks an interesting concept, can't wait to try out.

I love titles in general as they can evolve a ship to have a different role, add some punch or utility. And they are thematic of course. So I always try to include one or two, if they fit into the fleet and not super suboptimal.

I imagine something similar for Hungary, except we don't know anything about Venator and Recusant as of now. But both the IH and pelta were available for pre-order only a handful of days before they actually arrived. So I assume Venators are not too far, and Recusant probably June.

Yup, my problem is always, "How many Vultures? How many Hyenas? And how do I make Vultures kill stuff fast enough? What if the opponent somehow alpha me? Should I put Tris in instead? But that's less fighters, and less firepower?" So maybe Flight Controllers IH with vultures? I was thinking 4 tri, 4 vultures, 4 hyenas with IH, but not too sure...

I've been thinking on IH + Muni + BCC hardcell, but these ships simply cost too much, and I usually only have around 100 pts squads, or very light on upgrades.

First a quick disclaimer :D : I don't wanna go on ranting, and haven't even seen Bad Batch, but I certainly didn't like the idea in the 7th season of CW. 1) Story-wise it felt very flat. (Special squad came in, solve the problem, a bit of a conflict between the good guys, but happy end, and a someone who is supposed to be dead returned. ) 2) Actually at that point I was pretty fed up with CW anyway, so I didn't expect much... 3) If you are speaking about order 66 style chips, I hate that idea altogether(when it came up in earlier CW episodes), and I think in the Republic Commando book series (written by Karen Traviss, and excellent piece of SW stuff) explained it much-much better. (I hope I didn't spoiled anything) (If the sequel itself is better, than I'm happy to revise my opinion)
