My experience shows that in a normal 400 point game, you are probably best to have 1 Rec, 1 Prov and 2 core sets. Double Providence is not as useful until you get into 600-800 points. We have a few episodes in our catalog in which we discuss this during the AAR. 2 Munificents are better than 2 of the larger ships. For the GAR, it seems to be different: 1 Pelta, 2 Venator, 1 or 2 core (if you want 2 Acclamators).

I use either a 6x4 area created with three 2x4 MDF boards placed on the dining room table, or an 8x4 area from two 4x4 MDF boards on a pool table. It also isn't uncommon to put a 3x4 MDF sheet wrapped in black felt on the table and just play with the 4x3 "setup area" using 1x1 panels if we run off one of the sides.

3D Terrain is great when you are trying to showoff the game (Store demo) or on film (YouTube presentations). However for regular game play, it doesn't add much and you wind up moving the pieces around a lot. Having said that, sometimes a little bit of "flair" livens up the games.

I was fully expecting John to bring squadrons - otherwise I would have had other ships in play. The idea with Kraken was to get both ships in close enough to use his ability. Mar Tuuk would be better for what I was trying to do. I do however, like the idea of Grevious and maybe 8 Hyena Bombers also.

Thanks, Bertie. I went back to look at that turn in specific. At first I thought we made a mistake also, but realized I mistook the asteroid for the Exogorth. In this turn Norra was out of range of both Exogorths. John does a quick check at 40:40 (it's real fast) to verify he is out of range. I also went back to the previous turn, Norra is out of range there also, but John's other fighters were able to be shot. We definitely appreciate you looking out for these as we do make our fair share of mistakes. ;) I think in this case, the camera angle was deceptive. We are going to be "fixing" this with the next Wave's releases in 3 weeks. Stay tuned. :)

Bertie, we're both glad to hear you are enjoying these. We have been thrilled to fly other people's fleets for this event. I am curious however, which turn (or thereabouts) did we miss the shot on Norra? I went back and checked the footage and didn't see this.

Lots of potential there. We'll have to see if they are used to good effect in Round 2...

Played a few games already with multiple factions vs Clone Wars. Even at 400 points, they can hold their own. GAR has a handicap having only 1 Fleet Support slot (using Radiant VII title), although they make up for it depending on fleet composition. Separatists hit hard, those Munificents are crazy strong. The hardcells are also tough little guys.
