So I’m trying to make sure I understand how Tikkes works. You get a token of your choice when you reveal a command dial and then put a token on Tikkes and The dials you set the next round have to match that token.
so on a 3 command ship like a Providence, if you wanted to use tikkes every turn, you would have to tell them which dials you’d be setting for turns 4-6 for the first 3 turns. but on turns 4-6, can you still use tikkes to get tokens since you wouldn’t have any more dials to set?
I’m thinking Admiral Trench with Tikkes on a Recusant Nova Defiant, but I’m not clever enough to figure it all out!
Oh, right. I mixed up the timing with SO. Sorry. :(
Still, even with SO might actually be some point to it for a Hardcell "carrier". Aux shield team and maybe even BCC to push 3 nasty Hyenas per turn with a pretty tough ship. SO lets you change to NAV or ENG in an emergency.
As I read it you put the same token on Tikkes as the one you get. So in essense you're sticking to the same command sequence as long as you use him.
I.e. command 3 ship starts out with NAV, CF, ENG. Use Tikkes every round and the last three commands will repeat this as round 1 you take a NAV token and then have to set dial 4 to NAV, and so on. Last three rounds Tikkes is "free".
Interesting idea: Tikkes plus Skilled First Officer on Hardcell transport. Repeat command (Squadron, probably) until you need something else, then SFO to change.😊
And along the same lines. On a 3 command ship. Could you just wait until turns 4-6 to use him when you’d have no dials left to set?
