With the long awaited release of the Republic and CIS as factions in Armada, the introduction of Jar-Jar Binks as an upgrade seems inevitable. Given his role as comic relief and his notorious status amongst fans, his ability is sure to be both unique and bizarre. I think it's unlikely he would ever be an admiral, which would only realistically leave the officer position. How would you guys write a Jar-Jar Binks officer card? While certainly not a competitive upgrade, my idea is as follows;
Representative Binks (Officer)
At the start of the ship phase, this ship gains one raid token of the owner's choice. When this ship discards a command dial to remove raid tokens, you may move this card to another ship at distance 1-3

I mean, given that they've never released R2-D2, C-3PO or even Chewbacca in the game, I don't think Jar Jar is inevitable.
Fair point I suppose. I always felt like R2-D2 would be a good candidate for a unique support crew.
Now that I think about it, couldn't those three characters be released as dual faction rebel/republic upgrades?
Here's my take, given that Jar Jar is clumsy but effective in battle.
Jar Jar Binks (Officer)
When an enemy ship attacking you modifies dice, you may suffer 1 damage. If you do, the enemy ship's attacking hull zone suffers 1 damage.

Using the scene when he accidentally releases the entire cart's worth of plasma balls as my starting point, I think his ability should have something to do with converting hits into critical hits, while suffering some sort of penalty.
If they release Jar-Jar before Cassian, Baze, Chirrut, Chewie, Qi’ra, Beckett, Threepio, Artoo, K-2SO, Veers, Padme, Nute Gunray, or any of a hundred other, more important characters, I’ll be very disappointed. Binks was an idiot who got lucky and was in the right place to accidentally make a difference despite his own ineptitude once or twice. He was no hero, had no actual skills, and doesn’t deserve a card.
For that matter, let’s see Solo and Skywalker as Officers (and maybe Commanders, particularly in Luke’s case) first, too. I really don’t need to see Jar-Jar in Armada, and of all of the Star Wars games, the one about strategic capital ship combat is the one he belongs in least.
