Im thinking i will get two venators and two peltas. That 'relief drop' card in the background of the pelta graphic has me wondering if they will have some sort of secret mission mechanic like r2 has in legion where you can get points beyond what the mission objective allows for?
Am I right? Barriss Offee means you can spend a Redirect before they can accuracy it. Meaning you don’t need ECM to protect it. Then you can use Early Warning System instead and she guarantees they have to shoot obstructed. Partner with Obi Wan for a ridiculously survivable ship.
Yesssss... but that new hull zone is suffering all the damage. So it's definitely strong with Kenobi, but not perfect without ECM unless you want to eat 8 -> still 7 damage into the rear when the brace is locked.

So for the Venator fans out there... what are your first impressions on the sculpt (even if it is just a 3D render)?
The actual stands themselves appear to be tinted black/grey instead of the normal clear color that we've seen so far. Do we think this is a trick of the photography or a change we can expect for all new ships being released?
I personally dig the look but hope it isn't a change as the least they could have done was make the stands from the starter sets match these....
I wonder what the peltas will do. The 'transport frigate' is reds and blacks. The other version is the 'medical frigate'. Its hard to imagine the medical version will be reds and blues? But if its blue black it will end up very similar to the consular.
Obviously one or both have fleet commands. Support teams or even fleet supports? Maybe the transport has an offensive retro?
Naah, prices went down. I am sure. Don't forget that we pay less because now dials are no longer part of the package...

Agreed. $65 for the Venator and Invisible Hand when you can still get a Chimaera (which comes with two squadrons in addition to the ship) for $50 seems odd. For the Starhawk, it made sense -- it was practically a mini Huge ship. But a standard Large that's smaller than existing models?

I am very interested in knowing the points price of the Venator. It's an interesting VSD-like front arc with ISD sides and rear.
And the Pelta also exists.
But the wings are so cute all folded like that!
Jeez. Those are Warhammer prices.
