I think the obvious build is carrier with invincible, thermals, point defence ion cannons, dco and either ecm, blast doors or early warning (arguments can be made for all). Then some upgrades to maximise killiness and just drive at their biggest ship.
@The Jabbawookiee what I plan to try out is Invisible Hand + Rapid Launch Bays + Hyenas. Seems like an absolute blast. Love the Invisible Hand. Such a cool concept even if its expansive like heck. Also, would you mind changing my tag to Separatist? :) I am making a transition towards them.
You do know that the rules reference state that a squadron or ship placed aside can only be brought back into play through that specific card right? So no 3 bomber dice through invisible hand. You can still unload the bombers and activate them normally of course. But not as the same time as you would want to activate those Invisible Hand-stored Vultures/Tri-Droids.
Providence-class Dreadnought (105)• Tikkes (2)• Boarding Troopers (3)• Leading Shots (6)• External Racks (4)• Invisible Hand (9)= 129 Points
Squadrons:At least 5 Tris or Vultures
Assuming you enter the round with a token (or Hondo one into being), Tikkes will let you use it to clear raid or push a 5th squad while still getting BTs. Flight Commander could be a good alternative though.
It's strong against ships (if fragile,) but the real fun would be taking Hyenas and watching enemy fighters sweat about engaging with such a fighter strike hanging over their head. Even 40 points of Vultures hit harder than TIE Defenders with the Hand.
Thanks for the heads up about the new titles! Definitely look better choices than Invisible Hand IMHO for my style of play. Looking forward to when the new ships arrive.
Both of the newly revealed titles and the Jedi Hostage should give some more flexibility to how the dreadnought can be kitted out. Invincible gives the option of putting ECMs on it to increase survivability. Lucid Voice + Local Fire Control + LTT + XI7/H9 can deal some salvo pain. And still gives the option of adding flag bridge and Jedi Hostage to make a ship which makes the enemy think twice about attacking.
Maybe not that competitive, and im sure with the conventional upgrades it would be more cost-efficient, but this seems super fun (when the combo lands)
The plan itself: use HIE and ACM to deplete 5 shields with a shot! SMBs to get one more black die in the side/front arc to pull the combo off, Kraken to guarantee the blue crit. Shu Mai to have reroll on the blacks on the critical turn. After the shields are gone start piling up crits with XX-9
I put in LTT’s to get the red reroll as it’s not a modification, so can use with SMB’s. SMB’s to add in a black dice at long range, along with APT’s. OE to reroll that if no hit crit (plus the buddy black dice on Conc fire). Boosted Comms to help out in the Swuadron game. What’s possibly missing is Int Officer as an aftertbought to threaten any long range evades if the target has them.
@Herr Style Yes, i can come up builds for the carrier too... But having troubles for the dreadnought. Maybe @Sabelkatten is right and it is similar to the mc-75 armored cruiser, but i was having troubles with that ship too.

I'm rather excited for:
Providence-class Dreadnought (105) • Tikkes (2) • Boarding Troopers (3) • Leading Shots (6) • External Racks (4) • Invisible Hand (9) = 129 Points
Squadrons: At least 5 Tris or Vultures

Absolutely! All 3 of the new cards are very exciting!

@Herr Style Not bad idea! I was thinking about somewhat similar:
[ flagship ] Providence-class Dreadnought (105 points)
- Kraken ( 30 points)
- Shu Mai ( 4 points)
- Fire-Control Team ( 2 points)
- Hardened Bulkheads ( 5 points)
- XX-9 Turbolasers ( 5 points)
- Swivel-Mount Batteries ( 8 points)
- Heavy Ion Emplacements ( 9 points)
- Assault Concussion Missiles ( 5 points)
= 173 total ship cost

How about this then? I’m using Mar Tuuk as it adds an extra red dice until all shields are depketed?
[ flagship ] Providence-class Dreadnought (105 points)
- Mar Tuuk ( 28 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Boosted Comms ( 4 points)
- Linked Turbolaser Towers ( 7 points)
- Swivel-Mount Batteries ( 8 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 4 points)
= 160 total ship cost

Tried to edit my comment and failed miserably! As an afterthought, would possible swap in SMB’s Instead of Enhanced Armament.
I looked at this, with the limited card reveal we had: -
General G
Faction: Separatist Alliance
Commander: General Grievous
Points: 399/400
Assault Objective: Surprise Attack
Defense Objective: Fighter Ambush
Navigation Objective: Superior Positions
[ flagship ] Providence-class Carrier (105 points)
- General Grievous ( 20 points)
- Invisible Hand ( 9 points)
- Rune Haako ( 4 points)
- Hyperwave Signal Boost ( 3 points)
- Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points)
- Enhanced Armament ( 10 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 4 points)
= 162 total ship cost
Munificent-class Comms Frigate (70 points)
- Tide of Progress XII ( 2 points)
- Medical Team ( 1 points)
- Boosted Comms ( 4 points)
- Linked Turbolaser Towers ( 7 points)
= 84 total ship cost
Hardcell-class Transport (47 points)
- Parts Resupply ( 3 points)
= 50 total ship cost
1 Droid Tri-Fighter Squadron ( 11 points)
3 Vulture-class Droid Fighter Squadrons ( 24 points)
1 DFS-311 ( 18 points)
1 DIS-T81 ( 17 points)
3 Hyena-class Droid Bomber Squadrons ( 33 points)
= 103 total squadron cost
I do get confused with all those droid names though lol
I've played around a little of the Warlords builder... Seems to be pretty similar to a MC-75 (in general layout/possible fleet role) to me.🤔
