Question of the week: If the Old Republic were to be brought into Armada, which faction would you play and why?

@Mad Cat Honestly I am not too familiar with it either. KOTOR is how I got introduced to it. I know the Republic had Hammerhead Cruisers, there is the Sith Empire with the cool-looking Harrower-class Star Destroyers (I'd probably play Sith for that ship), and the Immortal Empire, whose ships seemed similar to the New Republic's. The Mandalorians also had a powerful fleet at the time, I think that is where the Keldabe class ship came from.
I'm not too familiar with the old republic era. What are the options? Also what books are the best intro to the old era?
