As a matter of fact, I've created a Star Wars: Rebellion variant that uses Armada and Legion for space and land battles. I've managed to get a Rebellion game in on Vassal where we take turns and put the log file in Google Drive. Then we would play the battles during our usual game nights. Quite fun. The whole thing took several weeks, but that wasn't much different than our usual Vassal games of Rebellion.
I play Legion (Imps & Hoth Rebels) but haven't combined the two in a mega game. We did it in 40K once alongside Adeptus Titanicus where one game influenced the other in real time. We thought about waiting until the end of each turn for both games before we progressed to the next but players get a little bored waiting around. Each time we captured an objective in 40K an artillery barrage would happen in the Titanicus game at the beginning of their next turn.
Legion. And I like the old Star Wars RPG (D6).

I played a number of Star Wars video games in childhood. Rogue Squadron for N64 was my favorite.
