It seems fitting that the first list I post is the Commander I keep going back to, Ozzel! So without further ado, here he is: -
Commander: Admiral Ozzel
Assault: Surprise Attack Defense: Contested Outpost Navigation: Doomed Station
Raider I (44) • Admiral Ozzel (20) • Ordnance Experts (4) • External Racks (4) • Corvus (2) = 74 Points
ISD Kuat Refit (112) • Admiral Titus (2) • Ordnance Experts (4) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Assault Concussion Missiles (5) = 130 Points
Gladiator I (56) • Ordnance Experts (4) • Engine Techs (8) • Assault Concussion Missiles (5) = 73 Points
Raider I (44) • Ordnance Experts (4) • External Racks (4) = 52 Points
Gozanti Cruisers (23) • Comms Net (2) = 25 Points
Gozanti Cruisers (23) • Comms Net (2) = 25 Points
Squadrons: = 0 Points
Total Points: 379
And the list posted straight in from my Notes App on my phone!
With this list, I REALLY need to go first. In pre 1.5 era, I’d run a loaded Kuat with SA, Demo, Raiders and one Gozanti. Now that the triple tap from Demo has an additional step in it, I thought that leaving Demo off for a last/first double tap at the start of the turn then get out of dodge might be better. Plus it gives me 10 points towards my extra Gozanti. I will do some play testing on whether I keep the second Gozanti or swap for a small fighter escort.
Wow. I am always the guy advocating for the bid with black dice, but 21 points? You MEAN it! :)
I like this. You’re leaning into your strengths. I AM a bit weirded out by seeing a non-Demolisher GSD, but maybe that’s where the world is now, at least sometimes.
I’m also a little nervous about zero fighter coverage. I guess people do it, and it works, but I’ve never really felt great going entirely squadronless, and I mean, you have a 21 point bid to start with... I feel like with a couple of adjustments, Valen Rudor & Ciena Ree at least should be able to slip in here.
You definitely do want some bid, but (where I come from) 10-15 points will usually be sufficient. Mileage may vary.
