The list went 2-1 today. I beat a Starhawk list and a double ISD list, both squadronless. I lost to an squadron heavy list because I couldn't lock down and kill the last ship and gave up a ton of points to Superior Positions. That's what I get for not listening and using Solar Corona instead. I didn't get a ton of mileage out of IO, but I'm not sure what to swap in instead.
Ah, yes I see what you mean, that's helpful then. I still like IF and my Providence build though - once all the defense tokens are gone it will help keep the Quad Turbolaser Cannons useful.
Given Lucid Voice isn't throwing black Slavo dice, I don't value DBY particularly highly.
Looking forward to the report whichever way you go.
I'd think the list would get more benefit from a Carrier Providence than the Dreadnought - it's a prime target that needs to get close, so will really benefit from the refit. I'm also doing this to get IF, as that will let you trade in un-needed accuracies for damage, it also fixes your Salvo dice, as Kraken is only once per activation.
I think triple Intel Officer is excessive. With this much accuracy generation you're looking for them to take out a few key tokens more than anything. Tikkes will fuel the IF, Passel would also be good.
@StarWarsTabletop Kraken does work on Salvo. Like Screed it is once per activation, not once per YOUR activation, so you can flip to an accuracy or crit on Salvo, in addition to the DBY crit. Can't add the extra accuracy though. The idea is preventing any real defense at all.
Squads? Especially with Superiot Positions.Maybe stuff that can stay at long range, since that invalidates half your cards. Those are just guesses though, I am not very good at theory crafting. How did you do against those fleet types?
Superior Positions is there for the setup benefits. The extra points available are gravy if I get them. I played it against a Dodonna limited squadron brawler fleet. I was able to set up to limit my engagement to one or two ships at a time, and destroyed his fleet in detail. MC30s that can't redirect are quite vulnerable, as are Hammerheads and MC75s when faced with two or more accuracies. We called it with just his squadrons and a doomed CR90 left on the table.
Against heavy squadron fleets my plan is to kill the carriers quickly, and keep moving quickly enough to outrun non commanded squadrons. PIDC did some nice work on the Providence against his aces, saving me a few damage. I'll get more games in next weekend in one of our famous friendly LEGO tournaments.

My flagship build:
[ flagship ] Providence-class Carrier (105 points) - Kraken ( 30 points) - Lucid Voice ( 8 points) - Tikkes ( 2 points) - Thermal Shields ( 5 points) - Quad Turbolaser Cannons ( 10 points) - Point Defense Ion Cannons ( 4 points) - Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 4 points) - Intensify Firepower! ( 6 points) = 174 total ship cost
