The Munificent can command 3 sqns (4 with token from Rune or banked) and the others 2/3. My thoughts are to either launch 3 Vultures and the 2 Tri’s turn one or 4 and all the rest turn 2. The Intel Officer is on the Recusant to block any solitary evade for my APT. Due to lack of ships I opted for a Battle refit Hardcell but had to increase its points unfortunately. When the Recusant comes out, might swap the Battle refit for Transport if there are some good titles or different officers.
Any thoughts on this list?
I like the idea of Hyena upgrades, and think I will change my squadron structure. I think you’re right about the Hardcell, because the Munificent is a little pocket battleship and punches above its weight. Only having three ships made me opt for the battle refit, and then I tried to make it do too many things. I have a game coming up soon against my son, and I will compare again the two Hardcells ( At the moment I only have the one Core set so it’s always 3 ships and maximum sqns). Once I’ve played that game I will think about it.
Looks like a fun list! I especially like your Recusant build. It seems like it'd be a long-range brute able to reduce just about any ship to tiny bits! Your Munificent looks like an excellent hybrid combat/carrier ship, too. I don't know about the Hardcell though. Personally I would go for: Hardcell Transport (47)
• Flight Commander (3)
• Fighter Coordination Team/Auxiliary Shields Team (3)
• Bomber Command Center (8)
= 61 Points This way, you get your 2 squadron value, have a pseudo-Boosted Comms effect thanks to Flight Commander and either get a lil movement boost or a lil survivability boost from the support team, all for 3 less points than the Battle Refit, which is enough to bump a Vulture up to a Tri-Fighter if you wanted. Most importantly, you get Bomber Command Center, which noticeably improves your Hyena's damage output as a tradeoff for losing the Battle Refit's LTTs. Hyenas with AI = 1.5 avg damage, 14% chance of no damage Hyenas with BCC and AI = 1.957 avg damage, 5% chance of no damage Add it up over your 3 Hyenas, and you're looking at 5.871 damage per turn. But I'd like to suggest something further. DBS-404, or as I affectionately refer to him, Kaptain Kamikaze. I think he has a special niche with Commander Grievous, because as long as things keep dying, Kaptain Kamikaze can keep refreshing his scatter, allowing him to be a bit more aggressive with his special ability and thus putting an even bigger hurt on enemy ships (a whopping 2.817 avg damage with BCC). Your squadrons would need to be reworked to include him, however. My personal choice would be to drop Haor-Chall Prototypes for another Droid Tri-Fighter and upgrade a Hyena Bomber to DBS-404 or dropping Haor-Chall for DBS-404 wholesale, but I think you have a lot of options with your squadron list. There's definitely more than one way for you to scrap an ARC-170. I'm curious to hear both your and others' thoughts on this!
